As probably the most personal song on the album, "Tales of a shattered youth" describes experiences and thoughts from the perspective of a child in an emotional crisis and how such experiences will continue to have an effect even after decades. Without naming exact incidents, trauma and its effects are the central theme of the song. These aspects were also included in the song's video. On the one hand through a serious performance with elaborate lighting technology and an impressive stage design. On the other hand, silly, childlike aspects are taken up, such as the outfit of our protagonist and tiny children's instruments. We just wanted it to be "Controversial".
