about

"Despair" is also to be understood autobiographically. It deals with life in a toxic environment and the desire to leave it. The separation of old burdens is sometimes necessary to stay healthy. In such a time of upheaval this song was written and symbolically describes the ending with all that holds back: "Do not look back cause there is nothing to miss here. Do not stop or you'll be bogging down. Set your sails and leave". The song is completed by a guitar solo of the guest guitarist Alex Baillie (Cognizance), which despite all the negativity of the song closes the album in a weird positive way.
